Playing on top of the world
Rising to a peak elevation of 315m above sea level in our luxury resort, the 6,271-metre meticulously sculpted course is ensconced in a landscape featuring more than 25,000 palm trees, white-sand bunkers, and dozens of lakes connected by waterfalls. With incomparable views of the ocean and surrounding Canary Islands from most of its 18 holes, guests truly play on top of the world.
A golf experience that is not to be missed
Acclaimed as one of the finest in Spain, this is a Tenerife golf course crafted to test and surprise all golfers, no matter their level of expertise.
The Dave Thomas Golf Course
Our golf course was created by Dave Thomas, designer of Ryder Cup and European Tour venues, and is widely regarded as one of his greatest achievements in his 50 years of experience developing professional courses.
The large greens provide an infinite choice of flag positions which, combined with the wide tee areas at each hole, make the course accessible to golfers with high handicaps, and a challenge even for the most experienced players on a golf break.
Electric buggies, equipped with a personal water cooler and a GPS system, provide detailed information about each hole and aid in the navigation of the ever-changing Tenerife terrain. Our luxury resort’s 5 star service continues here, where you will find complimentary fresh fruit and refreshments served at several tees.
The Abama Golf Academy
Abama’s Golf Academy offers facilities for beginners and experts alike, including a driving range and chipping and putting greens. The 5-hectare practice area encompasses three par-3 holes for less experienced golfers, but our highly qualified golf professionals are available to aid players of every level.
We look forward to helping you craft the golf breaks of your choice and improve your skills on the most exciting golf course in Tenerife.
All players will enjoy the state-of-the-art amenities of our luxury clubhouse. Strategically located at the centre of the golf course and surrounded by lush palm groves, Casa Club is replete with relaxing corners in which to unwind, as well as undisturbed views of the Atlantic from its wide terraces.
The building features pristine dressing rooms, an outdoor rest and relaxation lounge with satellite TV and a small golf library, and a shop offering a full range of professional golf equipment for your golf breaks. It’s an idyllic spot to meet a friend for a light lunch, or to indulge in an early evening post-round cocktail.
Since early 2016, Casa Club is also the home of the refurbished Kabuki, the Daniel Franco-run Japanese-Mediterranean fusion restaurant with a Michelin star. It is an incredible privilege to enjoy world-class cuisine while looking out upon some of the best views in the resort.
