IX Abama Owners Cup 2024

Visit the Abama Golf clubhouse in the afternoon to register your party’s arrival and pick up your Goodie Bags and Owners Cup polo shirts.

We’re coming together this year for the 9th edition of our Abama Owners Cup. Owners, sponsors, and invited guests will all be able to celebrate the latest steps towards our Abama Resort sustainability objectives, which included replacing the greens of our legendary golf course with a more environmentally compatible species. You’ll also be among the first to see our newly redesigned Clubhouse designed by the internationally renowned Alejandro Escudero.

The 18-hole single stableford tournament morning will feature a break at our beautifully designed 10th-hole space, where you can pause, enjoy refreshments and surprises that will make the day unforgettable, and have a chat with your team about strategy for the back nine.

Total attendance capped at 100 people. Players must be 16 years or older to participate.

The Abama Gallery by Merkarte is a joint program sponsored by the Tenerife Government and Abama Resort, and we have been fortunate to host an ongoing series of exhibitions of talented local artists in our gallery space in Plaza Abama.

In this workshop, some of these emerging artists will join us to teach artistic techniques in a variety of disciplines.

Total attendance capped at 10 people. Children must be at least 14 years old to participate. This event is an alternative to participating in the golf tournament, and takes place simultaneously, so you must choose one or the other.

Guided by the professionals of international brand Anne Semonin, this workshop will teach you the best-kept secrets of beautiful skin as you enjoy a relaxing ambiance of self-care.

Herbal infusions will be served during the workshop.

Total attendance capped at 20 people. Adults only. This event is an alternative to participating in the golf tournament, and takes place simultaneously, so you must choose one or the other.

The richness of Abama’s land is the protagonist of this year’s local experience. We’ll journey upwards to feel the breeze through the centuries-old Canary Island pines and discover the secrets of the complex geology that has created our volcanic territory.

Transport is included. Attendance is capped at 100 people. Children must be at least 14 years old to attend.

Our islands were once inhabited by a people who lived in harmony with the rhythms of nature. The echo of their voices is still heard in our ravines, peaks, and valleys.

The Guanches, the aboriginal people of Tenerife, were traditionally, as evidenced by archeological discoveries on the island, a migratory pastoral community. Their subsistence was based on a lifestyle tightly linked to the rhythm of the seasons, and their routes crossed the island from north to south, ending in the Cañadas del Teide mountain passes.

Despite the simplicity and absence of luxuries and comforts, the Guanches did not lack for any true necessities. It was an outdoor existence in which man was simply another element, integrated into the impressive natural ecosystem and living off the meat, milk, and cheese provided by goat herds, as well as honey, nuts, and berries.

Dress code: Comfortable/sporty clothes and shoes, and please bring a jacket.

Tie on your sport shoes and join us for an active morning on the Abama Pádel courts! We will be offering a pádel clinic led by Carla Mesa, ranked 38th in the world and 1st in the Canary Islands on the World Pádel Tour. During this activity the Tennis Center Bar will be open for anyone who would like to enjoy a coffee or watch the clinic.

This year’s spectacular runway show is organised by Eva Divine, a designer and owner of various luxury boutiques, and will give us a preview of the items that will be for sale in her new and exclusive Savana Boutique in Plaza Abama.

Music and cocktails will accompany these latest pieces from the 2024/2025 campaign, demonstrating new trends and all the available lifestyle options for different moments of the day, from Resort Beach Wear to Casual to Sport Luxury Wear to Cocktail and Red Carpet looks.

Join us at the Plaza Abama swimming pool to watch the show while you enjoy Tágara restaurant cocktail service and the relaxed musical ambience of our DJ.

Dinner and dancing will cap our weekend at the IX Prestige Owners Awards Dinner. As in years past, the event takes its theme from an important concept of value, and in 2024 we will be celebrating the history of the biodiversity of our aboriginal and volcanic land.

Abama, a Journey Through the Earth, is an homage by Abama Resort Tenerife to the land in which we live. It is a way to visualise the rewards we reap from its geological biodiversity, recognising in particular the aboriginal Guanche tradition as one of the many important elements that make up the rich culture of the island of Tenerife.

The event will give us a space to come together, communicate, and strengthen the bonds among our community of owners, acting as a meeting point, an exchange, and a place to forge synergies among all the people who have chosen Abama Resort Tenerife as their residence.

Dinner, made with local products, will be catered by Canary Islands restaurateur Carlos Gamonal, an artist in the culinary space dedicated to sharing traditional island gastronomy, and followed by the awards ceremony for the Abama Owners Cup.

Dress Code: Elegant, and please include an accessory inspired by the nature of the island. We recommend you do not wear heels, as the event will be on grass.

Attendance is capped at 180 people. Children must be 14 or older to attend.

The price per person will be €160 (IGIC tax included), and this will cover entry to everything in the program. It is not possible to purchase activities individually. When you register the people in your party, the payment platform will multiply this entry price by the number of people you have indicated will attend.

Entry can only be purchased for individuals 14 and older, though children must be 16 to participate in the golf tournament. Please send us an email if you would like our Owner Relations Manager to give you information about the options available for childcare.
