VIII Abama Owners Cup 2023
Our biggest event of the year returns and we hope each and every one of you will choose to participate in these two wonderful days of activities in celebration of our community. Join us for the VIII Abama Owners Cup from October 6th-7th, 2023!
This year our theme, “Abama Blue Ocean,” transports us into a world that is fascinating, mysterious, and unfamiliar, yet right next door: the Atlantic. It’s our constant companion at Abama, a precious resource supporting millions of lifeforms, and a place where almost everything has yet to be discovered. We offer you a carefully curated program designed to connect the land we inhabit with the coast that embraces us.
Our activities are centered around the local economy and local products, bringing us into harmony with this beautiful island and the magnificent ocean that lends renewed energy to our bodies and minds.
We very much look forward to seeing you and sharing this wonderful time together.

In line with this year’s theme, “Blue Ocean”, we’ll offer a gastronomic and cultural experience whose aim is to encourage our owners to use our coasts responsibly and sustainably, as well as learn about local fishing customs and traditions. Our destination is the Muelle Viejo restaurant in Alcalá, located on the coast of Guía de Isora and dedicated to serving fresh catches from our shores. We’ll enjoy a tasting menu of local products prepared with traditional methods, and talks related to maritime traditions.
Dinner performance: José Felix Álvarez and Jesús “Pingüino” Gonzalez (Voice and 7-string Guitar)
This artistic performance will be a deep and resonant breath of the coasts on both sides of the Atlantic, reflecting an intimate connection with its Canary Island origins. It’s an ode to every grain of sand and wave that kisses the shores, to tradition and to the future.
With elegance and distinction, this duo will weave a tapestry of musical language that pays homage to the majesty of the ocean that touches and gives life to the coasts of the archipelago.
They’ll use music to connect with the history of the Canary Island seafarers that emigrated to other lands at the beginning of the XX Century, threading an emotional connection through the Portuguese Fado, the Brazilian Bossa Nova, and the cantos de Isas and folias of our islands.
Dress code: Casual, and please wear comfortable shoes as some walking will be required near the beach.
Transport is included. Pickup is in front of the Abama Kids’ Camp at 18:15h. Attendance is capped at 80 people (CAPACITY HAS NOW BEEN REACHED AND THIS ACTIVITY IS CLOSED). Children must be at least 14 years old to attend.
