A unique experience at a very special price
If you are looking for an unforgettable gift for someone special, the Gala Weekend at Abama is your golden opportunity. The price of the performance, the pre-dinner cocktail, the gala meal and the after party is €250 per person, well below the normal cost for a performance and gourmet meal of this caliber. In addition, in honour of the event, The Ritz-Carlton, Abama will be offering standard double rooms for €280/night, an almost 50% discount.
And as if that weren’t enough, our exclusive Abama Golf will also offer major discounts on green fees for guests staying in the hotel, making this weekend a complete package for all our attendees.
Baras and Berasategui, masters of art and culture
Ms. Baras’s performance of her “Suite Flamenca” will commence in The Ritz-Carlton, Abama ballroom at 18h. This internationally renowned dancer, director and choreographer has received numerous prizes and distinctions, including the Spanish National Dance Prize, the Médaille de Vermeil from the City of Paris, the title of Honorary Ambassador of Spain, a Gold Medal from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the title of “Iberoamerican Cultural Ambassador”, and many more. Born in San Fernando, Cádiz, in 1971, her shows bring together lyricism and seduction, sweetness and passion, and have opened the doors to the most important theatres and stages on the planet, including the Teatro Bellas Artes of Mexico City, the City Center Theater in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Theatre Orb in Tokyo, the Concert Hall of Hong Kong, and the Opera of Dubai.
The cocktail and dinner that follow the performance will be specially designed for the occasion by Martín Berasategui, the creator of Abama’s own two-Michelin-Star M.B restaurant. This Basque chef, holder of no fewer than 8 Michelin stars, takes traditional Spanish cuisine as the starting point for his fusions with other cultures and achieves excellence every time, bringing the modern flair to his dishes required by the highest levels of international gastronomy in the 21st century.
He began his training in the Escuela de Pastelería Moderna Yssingeaux, where he rubbed elbows with great international chefs. At only 26 years old, at the helm of the Bodegón Alejandro, he received his first Michelin star. Ten years later, another two were earned at his eponymous restaurant, Martín Berasategui, in the Basque town of Lasarte-Oria. And this was just the beginning of a white-hot career that has made him, indisputably, one of the best chefs in the world.
